Mrinalini is a popular Bengali book written by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay. Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay is a famous Indian writer, poet, journalist and lyricist of the national song of India. He was born June 27, 1838 in the 24th district in Porgona India and died on April 4, 1894. He was born in Kantalpura 24 District of West Bengal Pargana. The name of his father was Chandra Yadav Chattopadyay and the name of his mother Durga Devi. He grew up in a very conservative family of Bengali Brahmins. He completed his primary school education in Midnapur and has graduated from the University of the Presidency in 1857. Bankim Chandra at a very young age of 11 years his first wife died in 1959 was married and was remarried Rajalakshmi Devi. His first novel in English was the wife of Rajmohan.
